  • Monday 11 March 2024 World Book Day 2024 World Book Day at Kennett Primary School was a fantastic day filled with creativity, imagination and a love for reading!
  • Tuesday 28 November 2023 Steel Signing at New School Building Wednesday 22 November marked a key milestone in the construction of the new Kennett Primary School building. The Headteacher of the school, Executive Headteacher of Staploe Education Trust, Trustees and Advisory Body members, along with representatives from Cambridgeshire County Council, AtkinsRealis, Bellway, the Tilbrook family, KCLT and Kier, visited the site for the steel signing ceremony.
  • Friday 20 October 2023 Year 6 Pupils Enjoy STEM Activities Our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a day of STEM activities at Soham Village College last week. Joining pupils from other local primary schools our pupils enjoyed a variety of activities including being flown around the world using maths and putting into practice their learning about the physics of flight to design and build flying machines. Our pupils had a great day.
  • Tuesday 18 July 2023 Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies Recently pupils in Key Stage Two were delighted to deliver two performances of Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies. The performances were very well received by all members of the Kennett Primary School community, with one attendee highlighting what a pleasure it was to see all the children having such a great time. Huge congratulations to staff and children alike.
  • Friday 23 June 2023 Eels on Wheels Children in Team Attenborough (Years 3 and 4) enjoyed spending the day learning about eels with specialist support from Ursula Juta, senior project officer with the Norfolk Rivers Trust. During the day, children learnt about eel life cycles, the role of eels in local history, habitats and conservation efforts in the local environment. In all, children had an eely good day

  • Friday 26 May 2023 Pupils Enjoy The Museum Roadshow Staff across the Trust primaries have engaged with museum educators within the University Museums Cambridge. Collaboration has focused upon curriculum enrichment, incorporation of museum artefacts to enhance learning and the role of talk within the classroom. A significant milestone within the project came through the introduction of the Museum Roadshow. Across two dates in late May, the roadshow visited all three Trust primaries.
  • Friday 31 March 2023 Easter Egg Hunt On Thursday 30th March, children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in our annual Easter Egg Hunt.

  • Tuesday 24 January 2023 School Achieves National Attendance Award Well done to all the pupils at Kennett Primary School who helped the school achieve a National School Attendance Award. Attendance data is gathered from 10,500 schools across the country and Kennett's attendance was in the top 25% in the Autumn Term!
